My new Savage .223 really loves the 60 gr VMax. At the range Monday, an older more experienced gentleman wondered if that bullet would give the great "Red Mist" like a 40 gr would.

Anyone have experience with shooting p. dogs with a 60 gr VMax in .223? Is it to solid of a bullet to get explosive results?

I think ballistically the 50grn pill is the most versitile in the 223, of course if your gun will not shoot em there is not much you can do

in times when one needs a rifle, he tends to need it very badly.....PHC
