#1). Had a Fed biologist tell me that 90% of the p'dogs that died in the 20th century were killed by gov. spread poison.

#2). He also explained the "cycle." Apart from poison they breed like rats and mice which are cousins. Rabbits too. Rodents. Population gets up and starvation starts and weakened dogs get sick. Plague can be part of this. Maybe you noticed the 10/12 year drought we have been in. BIG die off. A few survive and after the die off they "re populate." Until over population and the next die off.... Etc.

#3). Plague is spread by fleas. In the "towns" reserved for black footed ferrets in SD, shown on public tv shows about ferrets in the wild, they spread flea powder at the mouths of the p'dog holes to keep them alive for the ferrets to kill and eat... Tax money at work. Oh welllll...

#4). Can it spread to coyotes etc.? Well, yes, some. Weakened p'dogs are the real victims. Old, sick, defective other creatures might get it too. Not a big deal.

Drought is supposed to be "breaking" and p'dogs should come back over the next 5 years. Luck to us all. Happy Trails.
