I’ve just finished this project. I also placed it in Classified. The blade was forged in the Snake River valley of Idaho and is made up of 125 layers of 1095 carbon steel and 15N20 Nickel steel. This steel in not an import and is not made from mild steel!! The blade is crafted by knife maker Grand Leavitt of Idaho. It is heat treated and tempered to a 57-58RC.
Handle materials: nickel silver, brass, kudu horn, mammoth tooth. $350 shipped.

Beautiful knife. Reasonable price too. Don't mean to be critical(a minor point)but I would prefer the sheath to be stitched.

It is nice, and if I cared for that blade shape I would buy it--but I'm a die hard drop point 'Dozier style' blade man.

Thanks for posting the pic.
