Hi All,

I'm not what you would call a collector, just have what looks nice to me. I have quite a few numbered Al Mars, (had a number at one time) Bokers and older Pumas and one or two hand mades.

Today I went to a knife show and took 4 Al Mars that were near duplicates and ones I wasn't emotionally attached to wondering if I might swap them for something I fancied.

Long story short, one of the knives I ended up with in a deal is a NIB 8" Al Mar/Chris Reeve CRC 003 155/200 DOM Aug. 13,1999.

Anyone know the story on these? I would appreciate any info.

Thanks,

Don

stdon,

Al Mar had a number of limited production knives, usually 200 count of his various designs, made in Seki, Japan. The production date is after Al Mar passed on. So, the company has carried on a successful tradition.

I am not a collector but was a friend of Al's. I am fortunate to have received gifts from Al of some of his non-produced prototype designs which I cherish.
