Getting ready to make my first Kydex knife sheath and would like to know other's experiences. Has anyone made a sheath (or holster) out of Kydex and if so do you have any tips or techniques for the first timer?

Buy some extra kydex and first make a sheath or two for a small old knife so you can get used to working with that material. Also, there are some very informative videos on youtube that will get you going in the right direction. It isnt hard to do and you can often refit the snugness of a sheath if its to snug or not snug enough. Good luck.
