I am looking for a rather small 3" fixed blade knife with a diagonal sheath for wear when riding horses.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

We have a pair of these and we use them for everything from cutting fruit to butchering chickens and deer.

The horizontal sheath works well.

They will deliver in 3-4 months while a direct order with the Dozier shop has a three year wait list.

Nice, smaller knife . Dozier quality . I have (3) of the horizontal kydex sheaths. Like them so much, I’ve modified some of my leather to be able to wear them ‘horizontal .

Do a search on this site for von Gruff and you'll find that he makes both the knife and sheath that you are seeking. I have one of his knives that we designed together, it was delivered in a couple weeks and I am delighted with it.

Thanks for the hat tip Ray.

BH63, have a look at my website as there are a number of small knives there and of course the sheath can be done in any configuration you may require

Thanks for all the good advice.

I wound up buying a BenchMade Canyon Hunter. MSRP was about $140.00, but I managed to get it at $100.00.

Perfect size for me and looks pretty good. I still need to tune up the blade a little, but it came from the factory fairly sharp.

Let me know how that having sex with a Buff (Cape Buffalo, I presume) works out for you.
