For some odd reason, European knives tend to have higher prices than US knives of the same or better quality. Those are some good knives but they don't hold up to the best, often at cheaper prices.

There are some excellent buys available right now from time to time for knives with ivory because the sellers think, probably rightfully so, that selling them in the future might be illegal or very difficult.

Quite a few years back, one of the Kentucky Bourbon Heirs IIRC hired a famous knife maker for his personal knife maker and kept him on full time for many years (20?). The maker is now back to making knives on the market.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

German prices are insane. Swedish prices, for the same knives, are very decent......and one can purchase some beautifully "scrimshawed" knives for very low prices. See www.tradera.se E-mail me for translations.
