I bought a knife in Sweden while competing at a world championship shoot in 2003. It was a bit of a spur of the moment decision, but its been a great little knife that I have used for virtually all my game animal dressing work since then. But I dont actually know much about the firm that made it, and have not turned up much info on them through an online search. Maybe there is some Swedish language info out the that I am missing, or maybe some of the members here could point me somewhere? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hellu mate.
Karesuando is a Swedish firm that have made knifes since 1975.
Well known and regarded as exellent working knifes for both hunters and outdoormen in our part of the world.

They have a internet site, but it seems like it is under reconstruction at the moment.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

Thanks for the comments. I have had a look at a lot of the sites listed, but they dont give much insight into the company. So far I havent even been able to see my exact model listed for sale online.

That little axe looks like it would be very nice for a hunting trip, but its a bit out of my price range right now.

Hi!

No, indeed it is hard to get some info on the company.

What I understand is that it "now" is under new private ownership.

Before it was actually owned by the state owned company Samhall. A company employing primarily people with "disadvantages".
