About a week ago I started throwing knives. I built a target 30" x 72" board out of 2x10s. I painted six 5" black dots on it and set it up in my basement. Below the target I put a couple carpet remnants to catch the throws that don't stick.

I throw: no spin (from the handle) out to 6 feet, half spin (from the blade) at 6 feet, and full spin (from the handle) at 13½ feet.

I use six 12" Condor 'Dismissals'. They're hefty. The points are sharp. The edges are not. (That's good.)

I played around throwing knifes in my youth then I turned to guns much more effective.
