I've now got a trifecta of Tim Olt's knives.

Here is the latest and sweetest. A Loveless style drop point with Musk Ox Scales. I saw one that Tim made back a few months ago and cajoled him into making one for me since he would not sell the other one.

I've had it for over a month IIRC, but I was beginning to think I had lost my MOJO. Hunted for six days two weeks ago and got skunked. Only thing I got to cut with it that weekend was a rib-eye steak.

But I more than made up for it this past weekend.

Shot a decent boar Saturday morning.

brought him back to camp and skinned him out

made me a hill country wind chime. LOL

Shot another eatin’ size boar Saturday evening. I waited till he was clear of the mud puddle before I nailed him, but it was a bang/flop. At the bang, he flopped into the mud.

Oh well, fished him out of the mud and managed to slicker him up on the four wheeler

Is this any way to treat a custom knife?

You’re dang skippy!!!!

The other two........

buffalo horn skinner of 52100, forged and differential heat treat.

and my first Olt........

Elk antler and 154 CM if I recall correctly.

Can't really see it from the photo but the curve of the antler makes for a gentle palm swell. Really like that.

GWB

I love to see great tools actually being used instead of gathering dust.

In my quest to become a pedant; do you ever find the boar meat a little stringy?

Good dear Lord GWB!
You sure know how to set things up.
You're a hopeless romantic who'd be fun to spend a little time with.
I could almost smell the mud, blood and beer!
Oh, the knives are cool too.
