Really enjoyed this Youtube. I have to wonder if that handle-to-blade connection wasn't imperfectly understood, as it seems so fragile for a combat weapon. Choice of really hard, dense wood might make it more practical.

I did a search for ice age copper knife and the pictures of real ones show a tang.

That pin certainly is a weak point .It's just a push dagger and a better casting process could produce a much better knofe. Ask Otzi he'll tell you !

Mark, I agree. I think he was basing his interpretation on the engravings on the Algund stone in Spindler's book. I have ordered it, although the science been widely criticized.
