Quality, as always, is subjective. When I was cold calling for my machine shop I contacted them to see if they had anything to outsource that I could bid on. I was informed they had everthing sent in from overseas. Go figure. Roll Eyes

I have no knowledge about knife or steel quality. I can only say that the CRKT knives I have owned did the job very well. A few of them are kind of "kinky," but their regular folders, like the Iraqi Freedom model and the Crawford/Kasper models are just fine. The nice thing about them is losing one doesn't break the bank to replace.

Since Leupold prides themselves on "made in America", it would be disappointing to find that the knife they put in their anniversary Century special was made overseas!!!

For the money. CRKT knives are among the best. I've used them hunting, camping, around the house and keep them in the car/truck. Very dependable and solidly built.

I use their large folders when I go canoeing in Boundary Waters for a week. You gotta depend on a good knife up there, and CRKT has always proved reliable.

You get what you pay for, and even if you pay less for these, you get LIST value.

I've bought several and they seem to hold an edge quite well especially considering the price. I found the cheaper version of the M16 at a show last year and paid $25 apiece for two.

Gave one away and the other has become a favorite.
