Using the 5.7FNH case, necked down to .17.

9.5gr AA1680, 20 gr V'max==3460fps.

Good pinpoint load out to 200 yards.

Have two rifles for this one.

A NEF: used a .17 HMR barrel before I was

offered a Cooper M-38 already made for it.

Bought that soon as. Both chambered alike.

I have an old beat up Rem bolt action in 5MM and its about perfect up to 200 yards, the only reason I keep it is because its incredibly accurate at dime size groups at 100...It was totally abused when I got it and still is, feeds most of the time and 0 blue and the stock was reshaped by a real gun buzzard and finished in 30wt. oil it seems, but its dry now and holds its zero...Has a 2x7 old Leupold that matches...but it seldom if ever misses a rock chuck,and has a hundred or two too its credit, and got two red fox and several badgers in the home place pasture and out my shop window in the last 40 years.. tu2
