What is your favorite load using Hornady 154 gr.SPBT or SST.

Mike I'm not a fan at all of Hornady SST or any other bullets except the GMX so I can't help.
My son shoots a .280 on a pre64 action that loves 140 grain Sierra's and 139 grain Hornady GMX with max doses of IMR4350. This gets it done with Mule Deer and whitetails and no doubt they will work on elk as well.
His rifle shoots around .5 for 3 shots.

150 Sierras, 52-53.5 gr 4831SC.

you can never go wrong with any 4350 in the 280 rem. loaded one for years

50gr of IMR4350 using 150gr Nosler Solid base bullet (lead tipped, bullets came in a red and black box).

They were the predecessor to the ballistic tip bullets.
