Would you remove the primer and the powder or just leave it as an exploding bullet?

Yep, looked at the same idea for the .458s. Just turn off the rim of a 44 mag brass. For the 470s, 45acp or 45 Colt(-rim).

Someone has way too much time on their hands to do stuff like this. Why not do penetration test turning pointed soft points around and shooting them backwards.

Looks like a great and cheap, plinking and pig bullet to me. Might give it a try when I get my 375 H&H built.

jeffe, might as well do the whole family, .375", .458", and .475".

Could use the 40S&W/10m/m for .423", if any of the "Bubbas" gets that bore size.

Well, necessity is the mother of invention. I heard tell of an Elephant poacher that would shoot an elephant then dig out the handmade solid and reload it. He would fill the 375 case with power taken from a 7.62x39 AK round. Shot an Old ZKK 602 or so that was the story. Heck I knew a guy that tried to shoot 44 mags out of a 410 double Barrel shotgun, he figuired that he could have a double rifle that way. It takes all kinds.
