* UPDATE * I SPENT MONTHS LOOKING FOR A 470 CAPSTICK - FINALLY FOUND A CUSTOM ENFIELD

Hello All,

You may have seen my want ad post in the Classified Forum.

After months of looking - I finally got one ... (I also bought the big brother) http://forums.accuratereloadin...4711043/m/5051041072

The auction ended minutes ago .... I can't wait to get it.. dancing

Pictures and description tells it all.

As always, your comments are welcome.

Do you know if this and the 550 in the other thread were built by the same person? They look very similar.

Hello Cugarz,
Thanks for the reply.

There were about a dozen similar guns in the auction in various regular and Big Bore calibers. I'm sure they were all Custom built by the same shop. I'm hoping to find out who / where / when that was.

Hello wildmansix,
Thanks for the reply.

I've just now obtained the rifle in hand. This is truly an amazing rifle. Far better than the auction description and pictures. Weight is 10 pounds 7 ounces w/ 13" LOP. I've found the rifle was test fired only (1 round) likely by the builder. It came with the fired empty case and 10 virgin brass cases. Not even the site leaves are cut. I'm still researching to see who built the rifle.

Hello Ray,
Thanks for the reply.

I am continuing to research to determine who built these custom rifles.

Hello Badger375,
Thanks for the reply.

Here's the result of my first field test. A nice fun load.

The real surprise was a SD of 2 fps. (Standard Deviation)

This target was fired aiming across the top of the "un-filed" standing leaf. Impact was 10" high at 50 yds.

Here is the result after I filed the rear site standing leaf and increased the velocity.
This rifle is quickly becoming my favorite 470 caliber rifle.
