Three Against The Wilderness
By Eic Collier
Published by E.P. Dutton @ Co
This book is a true account of the authors life trapping and living near the Fraser river in B.C. Through the 20's 30's and 40's. He writes about his effort to bring back the beaver and the trials and tribulations of making a living and raising a family in the wilderness. He started with a few rusty traps and goes on to be a successful trapper, hunter and conversationalist. He and his family survived blizzards, rampaging moose, wolves and all the other danger that mother nature could throw at him. After reading this book I have come to appreciate the modern conveniences that I have and feel reassured that if I had to I could do without.
