Q. Can a stock & forearm set taken off of a Rem870 in a 2-3/4 inch chambering be transferred directly to a Rem870 Express chambered for 2-3/4in. & 3in. shells?

I'm looking at a used Express model with crap for wood, but I'm not inclined to just guess about it.

What say the members who know of these things?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Thanks! Used the search feature and that wasn't a topic that was previously covered.

The 870 express and the wingmaster are the same gun except for the quality of the stocks and metal finish. Express has a POS wood or plastic stock while the wingmaster has a walnut stock. The metal on the wingmaster is polished and blued and the express has a rather rough finish on the metal.
