What is a good gain value for a gated PSV-14? Anyone happen to have a data sheet for theirs and care to comment?

The main issue is the tube manufacturer. It's L3 vs Harris. Both have autogated intensifiers, but the L3 is better suited for .308 (more recoil) and the Harris is better suited for .223 (less recoil). The benchmark is the warranty. I would not select anything less than a 5 year warranty. They all eventually fail, it's the warranty that matters.

If you can hold off for 9 months or so, color thermal is dropping like a stone. Starting to get very attractive in pricing and the image quality is nothing short of amazing.
