LC 88 7.62 nato 308 brass

I have some 7.62 Nato brass (308 Win) that has LC 88 on the head stamp. I assume that the LC is for Lake City Arsnel, and the 88 for 1988 date of manufacture. There is a circle with an X or cross in it on the head stamp as well. Does anyone know what the circle with the x or cross in it stands for? Please advise.]
