Found a ziplock bag with about 35 rounds of this stuff. So far I learned it's Kynoch from 1951 and it's Ball Mk VII (7) .

Is 1951 non-corrosive?

Hi RICHJ. If it has the "usual suspect" big #126 primer then no, it isn't non-corrosive. The #126 was never available as other than with a mercuric priming compound. Mk VII maked without the "Z" will also mean that it is loaded with cordite.

In the early 80s, I bought beau coup boxes of the Kynoch 303s in the old yellow cardboard boxes of 50 rounds each. I'll bet those boxes are collector's items now. Of course like everything else, no foresight there so they are all gone. Hell, I've noticed at the gun shows that the old S+W blue boxes (cardboard, Bangor-Punta) were going for $100.00.

Never mistake motion for action.
