Is this the place to post this?

I will be in the Lower 48 states twice this year, once to fly and the other to drive. I will bring some ammo to ship to collectors. Can anyone tell me the procedures to ship UPS ground. Only a few collector cartridges per shipment.
Thank, fellas.
Cal

Cal, box it up + take it to a REAL UPS store, not one of their satellites. Those guys won't ship but the stores like PostNet that accepts UPS + FED-Ex will ship no questions asked.

Thanks. I will be in a small town in Kansas in April. Flying down for a turkey hunt and will pack six cartridges to post to two collectors. I will see what shipping choices I have when there.

They are more expensive than USPS but they are LEGAL if you care about such things.

I have shipped loaded ammo, you need to go to a UPS facility go to customer service desk. When I did it I athatched the ordinance small arms sticker to the box, the clerk that handled me was like a deer in the headlights until I asked her to get her supervisor who OK ed the box. In my are you don't have many people shipping ammo. I believe the label has changed with one that has no wording on it. I keep boxes that I received that have these type markings on it, just use you copying machine to make copies. They sell them on Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=ormd
but a photo copy works as well If I can find one I will post it

I found the new style without words and the old stlye with words make sense to use the new style so only those who know would know whats in the box, there is a weight limit I don't recall but it could have changed

color does not matter but generally black

Small Arms Ammo..Yes the sticker has changed, and of course the price went up..UPS will put the sticker on the box...and its cut and dried, not complicated..

This post is, under the circumstances, for all concerned.

John, I have sent loaded ammo many times, but through a REAL UPS outlet (not one of their little branch stores). In Leander, they have one called 'Postnet' that takes UPS + Fed-Ex deliveries. When I have shipped, I told them the contents + they had no problem with it. The little branch locales have their own company policies; the one closest to me will not even ship reloading components, brass, bullets, etc. If any company has anti-gun policies, I won't use them.

Have shipped ammo more than once. I have a FEDEX ground account and the driver picks it up at my house. UPS likely has the same arrangement. Use the new, international diamond label for sure.

Regards, Tim
