Aluminum stains on brass

While removing low mass bullets from heavily crimped 5.6x57R cartridges, my inertial bullet puller required over 1200 impacts to do the job(!) The tool has an aluminum collet to hold the base of the cartridge and that many blows imprinted aluminum into the extractor groove. How can I clean the extractor groove without scuffing the brass case?

Thanks, the_captn

Without seeing it..... I'd suggest using a pen knife or dental pick or tooth pick to carefully pick the aluminum off without touching the brass. I've done it before. Wish ya luck.
