Kyrgyzstan imposes ban on argali and ibex hunting for 3 years

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan introduces ban on several wild animals hunting in 2023-2026, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision Mederbek Mametov said.

Hunting will be prohibited for:

- boars;

- Marco Polo sheep;

- deers;

- wolves living at altitude of 2,000 meters above sea level;

- ibexes;

- snowcocks.

The Ministry of Ecology is engaging with the Parlaiment and other organizations on this ban.

Yeah.. this really sucks!

I am booked for Tajikistan for 2024 for Argali and Ibex. I pray they don't follow down this path...

An outfitter told me a week ago, that the local organizations are fighting this. Is this an already confirmed ban? Or there is chance of not coming into action?

As far as I know it is not confirmed yet.

Hunting for Marco Polo mountain sheep, mountain goat, roe deer, wild boar and snowcock banned in Issyk-Kul and Naryn until 2026

AKIPRESS.COM - A ban is introduced on hunting the Marco Polo mountain sheep, mountain goat, roe deer, wild boar and snowcock in Issyk-Kul and Naryn regions from 2023 to 2026, the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision reported.

The Ministry warned citizens about compliance with environmental laws.

The decision aims to help in preserving and protecting the biological diversity of the country.
