Can it handle a 577 NE?
Perhaps the 577 case loaded to 20 gauge or .620"?

I like the idea of the 577 case necked to .615 so you can use it like a shotgun or just use 20 gauge slugs for hunting/plinking. Cast some 1600 grain flat nose express train projectiles.

There are a few custom mold places that we can design a slug but the issue will be twist. I wonder where we can find a relatively fast twist 20 gauge barrel.

Maybe a .585 Short Action Win 70 with 750s at 1800?
or .620 JDJ with 1050s at 1500 from 16" Encore? Life is too short for pop guns! ; )

Ed's 585 HE full length on a stubby Ruger #1 would be a strong consideration for me. Have a matching pair and a gun bearer.

I can't hang with ya Tom. Frowner

I don't have any rifle barrels for the Encore and my two biggest pistol length barrels are in 35 Whelen and 45-70.
