Thanks!

I am somewhat of a falling block aficianado. I started off as simply a single shot shooter, but I've been getting away from the other single shot actions like rolling blocks and break actions and concentrating on falling blocks.

I noticed that their price list is as of January 2007.

I'll have to call them tomorrow.

I would hope the forward thrust of the muzzle brake leaves your arm attached!
That's a wicked-cool looking Long Range Handgun.
Nice.

250 grain bullets don't have much recoil, but the 300 grain SMK's seem about double the recoil.

In order to see through my trifocals comfortably I must put my Striker and Competitor on a contraption that's 9" above the bench. Some of these pictures seem to show pistols quite a way above the bench. Do others need this height increase?
Thanks;

How do you shoot that with a rifle scope? (Eye relief issues?)

Not a problem to shoot with a rifle scope. I come in close to get a full field of view, aquire the target, then pull my head back until I have about a 1/3 view through the scope.

I have several long range rigs set up with rifle scopes. A good brake like the American Precision Arms models, or Holland Radial, or Kirby Allen's Pain Killer takes most of the bite out of the recoil.

They're a lot of fun to shoot!

This is my 22-250 XP. Still looking for a decent stock. I hope somebody has an old beat up IHMSA center grip stock laying around they might "donate" cheaply to my cause. Wink

Here's my latest barrel. 375 JDJ on a pre-easy open frame.

That's a 30-30 on the left, 375 JDJ in the middle, and a 45-70 on the right.

I've not heard of one. I doubt it as the JDJ is about the limit of the Contender frame's strength. There are several barrel makers that say not to use them on pre-G2 frames. SSK's been making them for a long time now (since long before there ever was a "G-2"), and Jones his-own-self doesn't see a problem with it, as long as you don't go screwing around with load data and try to "hot rod" off of Jone's recipe.

I would imagine a larger case would be an Encore proposition. The 444 Marlin case seems "plenty" for me...

Interesting, I thought a 16 inch barrel was the max for the BATF?
