Just got home this morning from a 5 day muzzleloader hunt. I shot two deer. found both bullets the one passed through and buried its self about a foot into the ground. I was able to find it using a metal detector.
the other was in the neck just under the skin.
the first one weighed in at .234grs the second one was .232grs. they both retained almost all there original weight. hilbily

I've always had good luck with these bullets out of a muzzle loader.

Looks like the results I get with .452 250gr XTPs at around 2000fps with my savage muzzle loader.

This is my third season with this load. I have a CVA inline. I like the idea of having a scope. Cant see the open sights very good any more.

EIther paint the front sight white,
or get a 3/32" white spot sight and try that.
Sure made world of difference in my shooting ability.

Midway sells Marbles sights for about $12. Be sure to add it to an order and don't just buy it alone. Cost me $18 and came in a 6" sq box instead of a small padded envelope as it should have.
