I'm reminded of the Carter years and what that was like.
It was when disco came out. Women still dressed nicely but men's clothing was, well, scary. Isn't that when leisure suits came out? BBBottle probably still wears his. Sports were still the same but the face masks of the football players then were much cooler. Nobody had any money so anyone trying to look like they had any would walk around with those huge fake gold medallions around their neck or those gaudy rings. Cars sucked. Man, they made some really ugly cars. TV shows were awful. The 50's and some of the 60's were much better. Not too many classics came out then. The only one that comes to mind was Dirty Harry. BTW, did you know that John Wayne was originally offered that role? Texas: Mexican version of Africa |

Ugh. I dimly remember that. Senile dementia will no doubt relieve me of that burden, and not a minute too soon. Pity if we have to relive that sort of crap, but maybe Alzheimers will keep us from dwelling on it. The economy has gotten out of balance, we are in for a period of readjustment, and it will feel like a savage beating for awhile... TomP Our country, right or wrong.
