REPENT v. To sorrow or be pained for sin, as a violation of God's holy law, a dishonor to His character and government, and the foulest ingratitude to a Being of infinite benevolence. |

If Jesus was on earth right now, you neocons would call him a socialist tree hugging liberal hippie. How do you neocons express any of the above characteristics? |

And now you're comparing yourself to Jesus????? ********************************** The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government Thomas Jefferson |

Huh? Look at some of the posts here from the so called Christian right, who claim to be the moral compass of the country. Then read what cool posted. Do you see a disconnect? Here is an example of the neocon's brotherly love: http://forums.accuratereloading.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/3811043/m/662105769 What would Jesus say? Try to answer honestly for once. |

Paying off people who are poor for votes is Christian? Is that what Jesus Would Do?

Don't change the subject. Answer the question. What would Jesus say if we saw some of these posts from the neocons here? The neocon claim to be morally superior here and complain about the secular liberals and how it is destroying this country. |

While your all gathered here.
I have a few theological questions ... Is Jesus immune to Kryptonite? Who would win in a scrap, King Kong or Jesus? Godzilla or Jesus? Freddie Kruger or Jesus? Was Steve Marriott really the second coming of the son of god, or just another Mortal Mod? These thing are troubling me. "When doing battle, seek a quick victory." |

1st I think Jesus would freak out if he saw the internet. 2nd I think neocon is, as it has been pointed out, not necessarily conservative or christian. As for myself, I'm a secular conservative, I'm sure you don't like the broad brush painting you into a corner? ---------------------------------------- Obama: "It would be foolish, at such a critical time in our history, to pick people who had no experience." Exactly who are you calling a neocon? Jesus isn't pro abortion. He wouldn't take away our guns. Jesus believes marriage is between a man and a woman. Doesn't sound like a "socialist tree hugging liberal hippie" to me. REPENT v. To sorrow or be pained for sin, as a violation of God's holy law, a dishonor to His character and government, and the foulest ingratitude to a Being of infinite benevolence. |

Of course a large group of neocons are secular -- actually I think the more intelligent ones are. But that ones that aren't have the "holier than thou" mentality. |

Dirk, The difference is that I don't claim to be morally superior than anyone else. I think if gay couples want to get married, more power to them, if it make them happy. I am against abortion, but I'm pro-choice because I think each person need to come to that conclusion on their own time. I try to follow Jesus' teaching, although I don't even consider myself a very religious person. I think what he was teaching is just basic decent human behavior. Yhe "Judge not ..." quote is Mathew 7:1, although each of the Bible is slightly different. |

The post is a citation to the beatitudes you idiot, not from the Christian right claiming to be the moral compass of the country! |

How about if a father wishes to place his daughter in sexual competition with her mother? Is it "more power" to them too 6br? Where do you draw the line? Since you think it perfectly acceptable for sodomites to call women men and men women, why not permit powerful whites to declare that blacks are really oxen and swine? Since rebellion against nature is perfectly acceptable, why not be consistent? This nation was founded free and independent on an appeal to the laws of nature and of nature's God. Nature and reason tell us that homosexuality is wrong as surely as they tell us that a man is not a horse or a dog or a swine. Both reason and revelation are in agreement as to the instrinsic immorality of homosexuality. And yet no one is proposing to deny sodomites any right. Rather, society merely refuses to accord to them a privilege which has always been reserved for heterosexual couples. No society in the history of the world has given status parity to homosexual behavior. It would not matter if every religion in the world declared homosexuality "moral" it would still be immoral because it would still be contra naturam. But it is ironic that acolytes of homosexuality rail against Christians. It is virtually an acknowledgement that the Christian God is indeed responsible for a created difference between the sexes, but sodomites are in rebellion against that God and his authority. |

Do you guys live by your computers all day? I was just having dinner and spending some time with my family.
But Jordan, once again you proved my point with your post about homosexuality. You told me to get off my high horse while you were riding high on yours. Dirk, that post didn't sound like you. You do a one or two line post with an insult in there somewhere. I knew you copied it from somewhere. Tried google, and BAM! First hit! |
