I have a chance to get a .41 Long Colt up and running, but need the bullet. I'm looking for a Lyman #386178 from soneone's collection or old shop back room. I'd rather not take it from a collection unless it's a duplicate, as I plan to use it if I get the gun.

Yeah, I know I can have one made, but I'd like the original if possible.

The Rapine 386185 is available "on-the-shelf" at a number of places (Buffalo Arms for one). It is every bit as accurate as the Lyman, it is cheaper, and it is easier to cast with. It is better in some respects, too, since the lube groovers are larger than the ones in the Lyman. That allows you to shoot longer between swabbing out the bore.

All the 41LC moulds by Lyman are collectors items now and are VERY expensive.
