We make our Walterhog bullets from copper rod meant for earthing.

The prices fluctuates so much.

For example, 12mm diameter rod we have paid anything from $19.0 to $29.0 per meter.

I just wanted to know what others are paying.

Price difference I see may be due to alloy, but the one we are using is a LOT more!!!

I've taken quotes for as much as 100,000 lbs delivered over 6 months and you my friend are getting a good deal. I also think that learning how to optimize and picking the right time to buy will be important for future quantities.

I am afraid we do not use as much copper as you do.

The maximum we buy is one lot is 1,000 meters as we do not sell any bullets we make.

All that we make are for our own use.

I am in the workshop right now making 215 grain 303 British bullets.

The bottom is falling out of the US scrap market as of now.

Less expensive copper should be around soon

Just bought 1,500 meters - that is all the dealer had.

Works out at about $2 per pound.

$2.00/lb?? Scrap price around here is $2.59/lb.

Saeed, I am absolutely fascinated that you are making 215-grain all-copper bullets for the .303. Can you expand on that? How are they performing and what firearm are you using them in?

1,200 meters of 215 grain 303 bullets would be enough to provide bullets for a small war.

I make bullets for the 303 for several friends, and they shoot them in Lee Enfield rifles.

Feedback I am getting is that they shoot very well.

We make bullets in all sorts of calibers. It really is great that we can adjust the size of the bullet for any specific bore size.

Are they using those bullets in the 303 for target shooting or hunting?
Are you using a CNC machine to turn them out?
