Ammo sites- Fraud
I guess I am a bit naïve. I have been looking for some ammunition and found these two sites:

https://opticsandammo.com/prod...ler-partition-20200/

https://honorammoshop.com/prod...munition-500-rounds/

I wish that they were legit. I usually do not buy ammunition online but due to the demand, I have started.

Are you seeing a lot of these sites?

What is wrong with these sites? A serious question.

I haven't researched specifically the two that Jason posted, but there are a bunch of new sites being posted that don't really have any stock, but claim to have rare items (ammo, reloading components) and sell via Zelle or some other non-recoverable method only, typically. Then they disappear. It's become a common scam.

Try this, for starters: BBB complaints of Honor Ammo Shop

No credit card as payment is a sign of fraud.

The one site had a ridiculous’fake’ testimonial. The pics resolution looked distorted. Then, next to their number they said “due to call volume” they might not answer.

I also found several fraud accusations.

There are a lot of scams out there. My wife was taken in last month by an outfit that would only accept payment by bitcoin or American Express gift cards. The guy on the phone sounded like a Paki called "John". I told her, don't walk but run away from this one but her girlfriend told her it was legit so she dropped $2200.00. Girlfriends always know more than husbands, right? It was her money but scams still do piss me off.

Well, I want to give an update on a site that I thought looked "suspicious".

I had been looking to find some ammo that is next to IMPOSSIBLE to find. I came across some on a fraud
website and then found a site that looked somewhat legitimate. However, the price seemed too good to be
true (about $14.00 less a box than the manufacturers site).

What I found odd is that they did not list a contact phone number. However, I read some reviews that looked legit and
decided to take the risk. I ordered 3 boxes and the just arrived as advertised. My friend ended up ordering 5 boxes of the same ammo and 2 boxes of another type (Fedex says that his will be delivered today or tomorrow).

Anyway, I plan to order more from this site and I have found some other items that look to be well priced.

Here is the site if you are interested: https://www.sportsmanfulfillment.com/

This was my experience.

Isn't that true.
