Peter

Thank you, this has come as a huge shock to us al here in the UK we knew she was looking frail lately but as she had been the backbone and rock of our country for such a long time now we expected she would keep going on, but at 96 reality suggested she was nearer the end than the beginning, she leaves huge shoes for those who come after her to fill.

God save our King

Indeed. God save the King!

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
- Rudyard Kipling

Life grows grim without senseless indulgence.

God bless her Majesty, her family and all of the UK.

She was the quite a woman and the absolute right person at the right time. She lead with dignity.

God save the King and may he follow her example.

Condolences

I recall the story that when she was still a princess + visiting the colonies in India, she spent the night in a tree top machan with Jim Corbett standing guard at the base of the tree. The King died during the night + she inherited the throne. Corbett's comment was, "She ascended the tree a princess, + descended a queen."
