Todd...I’ve got a 1997 F150 4wd, 5 speed, 4.6L with 1,001,007 miles on it as of last Saturday. Rebuilt the trans twice. Lots of miles and the interior plastic is literally falling apart from being in the sun forever.
I have a 2005 Dodge 4wd Cummins That I use to pull gooseneck trailers and a 2919 F250 that I use for work, but my wife drives a. Ice car (I get to drive it once in a while, too)

My daily is a 2011 Hyundai Sonata that I bought new in November 2010. It has been paid off for five (or six?) years now and has 216k miles. Still runs great and turns out 32+ mpg. My wife drives a 2012 Honda Pilot that now has 175k miles and is starting to give us a few issues. It'll get sold and replaced soon. It is important to me that the wife, who drives our and other kids all over hell and back, has a deadnuts reliable vehicle. The Honda no longer satisfies that requirement in my mind.

Aside from those, we have a 2011 Ram 1500 for most pickup duties. It has only 88k miles on it now. It may go with the eldest to college next fall depending on where she goes. My "grunt" truck is a 2006 Dodge 2500 4x4 Quad Cab with Cummins and 6-speed manual tranny. It's been paid off for years and only has 126k miles, so it has many years of service left. Hell, I may even get to retire it with it now that we have the little half-ton grocery getter. In the last two years I have racked up less than 5k miles on the diesel, most towing our fifth wheel or beating around in the hills looking for something to shoot.

I used to trade often, and always had multiple car payments. Now all of mine are paid off, and the family Ram will be soon, at which time we'll take on a new daily driver for Momma. No more than one payment at a time!

Let's not forget about this thread Karl. Right about here is where the worm turned and the Ford once again showed its true nature:

Todd, I’m still trying to forget that truck, glad I don’t have it anymore (and that’s about all I can say about it

I had a 72 Chevy C-10 fleetside P.U. that I sold a few years ago that had 500,000 miles on the original 350 motor. Yeah, it used some oil but it still worked.

I drive a diesel jag daily, just coming up on 90k and I'll sell it in the next year or so. It does 60mpg but I fancy something else, something with lockable diffs and low ratio for driving round Scandinavia. Never owned a new car or leased anything.

I also have a 1913 Wolsley, runs on unleaded, starts every time (electric starter - i don't use the crank handle). I know its history from the original sale and have the sale docs and original owners manual which contains lots of instructions for how "your driver" should maintain it. The various fluids dribble out the bottom on a constant basis as all the seals and gaskets are on the prehistoric side.

I have no idea how many miles its done over its life but its not had any significant engine work in the last 25 years.

Also have half (brother owns half) of a short wheelbase landrover, lightened ex military so it could be thrown out the back of a plane on a parachute. Mechanically great but old Lucas electrics are crap. Currently needs new points and a starter. Has a frame welded to the top and is used for lamping rabbits and foxes around the farm.
