Since I have never frequented any of those I suppose I'm a bit naive. A few years ago I was taking the family home + we passed a restaurant called "Bone Daddies". I said that must be a rib place. My stepdaughter, who was 17 just looked at me + said, Get real, you really don't get it do you? Until she said that, I didn't.

https://www.cnn.com/videos/us/...vandera-pkg-erin.cnn Well put. I agree with Opie.

I went to Hooters a few times when I was invited, but it didn't really have a draw to make me want to go back.

I had never been to Twin Peaks until after the Waco shootout, then went once in Dallas. It wasn't that great either. I guess I'm too old for that shit. https://www.cnn.com/videos/us/...vandera-pkg-erin.cnn

Imagine that. A place who's draw is nice looking ladies. Gain weight, you get demoted.
About hooters.
First time, a local visit 10-12 years ago was nice. Got the cutest server there. Food was salty and average in quality.
Second time in NYC Decent women, food way over-salted. Fresh tasting but ruined.
Hoooters in Dallas. All women except two were overweight, some by 60 pounds. Food was supersalty. Only ate 1/3 of the chicken tender because I was starved.

Must admit I'm looking at this through a lawyer's eyes. This concept isn't unique or new -- Sex Sells. They just double down on that concept. Don't know what "corporate" did or didn't do and some of the allegations are a bit over the top. Mixed thoughts on this. Would I want my daughter to work there? -- Hell No!

Do I think we can Constitutionally close down every business that uses sex to sell. Nope!

The male employee who was allegedly retaliated against for taking up for the women fits the theme. But I think the plaintiff's decision to include the gay guy in the case is a major strategy error. It's just not consistent with the theme.

I have a feeling waitresses at Hooters and Twin Peaks will go the way of stewardesses. They used to be "rockets', then they started looking like my mother. The transition was disheartening. Back then I flew a lot on business.

jd, I used to fly Emirates and Qatar a lot. You've really pissed me off reminding me of what I'm missing.

I especially loved Ethad’s first class cigar and cognac lounge in the airport in Abu Dahbi. Nothing like having an attractive young lady trim and light your cigar and bring you a snifter of Hennessy.

I paid a dinner visit to a Twin Peaks in El Paso that was within walking distance of my motel. (I was ordered to stay overnight after corticosteroidal lumbar injections.)
Had a couple of beers and a nice French dip if I recall correctly. My server was just a college kid and I immediately felt protective of her in the way a father would.
Not a particularly special place, but it did offer jobs to kids going to UTEP.

I suppose in one way or another, we all whore ourselves in our professions. I don't have the advantage of waving a scantily clad ass or shaking a pair of upright poonts into the faces of the clientele. But we ALL know, it sells. Hell, even at my age, I still zero in on those. (It's a guy thing)

We went to Hooters at Fort Benning when I was there for a conference in 2016. It is off base, by a few miles but completely packed.

Food was awesome, and we had a waitress that was darling, and everyone of them was.

It was the first time I had been to one in 10 years.

The worst one I ever went to was in Seattle. Fat girls and bad food.
