I went to the dentist a couple of days ago + needed a crown, + the girl asked me before anything was done if I wanted to take care of the bill RIGHT NOW. Hey, only $1100.00 out of pocket after insurance. What are you going to do? Pay it of course. That is my point on the heading of this post + a long-lived frustration in being in business for myself for 40 years. In the mfg. + construction industry, we have had to ALWAYS work on 30 days credit; for all of us, jobbers, suppliers, everyone on down the pike. You get my point, but although I still have a sense of anger in the un-justness of business practices. I am not naive, but I have lived this for 67 years + my opinion has not changed; to whit :
'Tis known from here Menander,
That sauce for the goose be sauce for the gander." I do not advocate any socialist behavior, but I do believe that every man (woman) should be able to advance by their own merits, + be paid accordantly. That is not socialism, it is free enterprise for the folks that want to better themselves through hard work to achieve their goal. I' m sorry, got off on a bit of a tangent, but the truth still applies! FAIR IS FAIR FOR EVERYONE, NOT JUST AN ANOINTED FEW. Just like always, my comments will make no difference, but WTH, nothing happens if you don't say it 1st,

Medical field has been trying to make people pay up front for awhile now. They know how much your insurance won't cover.

There are also two price lists, one for cash and one for insurance patients. I pay up front...

Along that same line, I have heard of some companies that will give a 10% price reduction for cash/ no invoices to get out of the sales tax issue.
