OK, how long is it ?? Here in NY all snakes are protected so if you have to kill one it's S,S,S !

I wasn't there, but it looks like 5 ft easy, and maybe almost 6 ft.

I try to not kill rattlesnakes unless they're right up near living structures. Down here everybody hates copperheads and water mocasins.

If you're children were out playing in the area where this snake was killed you wouldn't be rolling your eyes. PS they aren't protected around here. We protect our children and pets.

swampshooter, I believe mete used the "eye-rolling" in regards to their law, not to killing snakes around the house.
