They may not like guns and hunting. But they can sure produce and it is probably the only state where I have seen location used as a source of innovation. Designed in California label.

That said I have little interest in going or visiting CalIfornia.

Having been born in New Mexico, I like the rocky mountain States, from Mexico to the Canadian border.

It is almost knee-jerky to say something negative about California, but I've got nothing against California. My deal, ever since graduating from college, was, I don't want to live east of the Mississippi River. That is the part of the U.S. I would not miss (or miss the least). Having said that, I feel very protective of any State of these United States.

I agree with your comment about California innovation. It sure beats having to write letters in long-hand, or make a ton of expensive long-distance calls. The left-coast has more than paid its way.

Maybe now California will lower its taxes so that more of its citizens can actually afford to remain in State.

Screw that, there are too many here now, for the water. Keep your unemployable children in the east.

Good luck with that. You know, Mexicans drink water too AND they're not much on paying taxes either.

For what it's worth, when the Apaches, Mojaves, and Chumash ran the southwest, there was cross-border trade but no immigration.
Immigration is a white man's innovation, one whose pluses and minuses have yet to add up.

Some plastic boxes.

UK is not really integrated into US consumer market or economy.

It is to Europe.

California ability for economic, financial and technical innovation always impresses me.

Great state of CA? More like the People’s Republic of CA or the Socialist Rep. of CA. It’s fine as long as you like high income and sales tax, very expensive gas and housing, dirty air and water rations/restrictions, and crowded highways. Nirvana!!

I was born in Kaliphornia a long time ago but had the presence of mind to escape at the tender age of 6 weeks. I visited there a few years ago (first time back since I was 12 Y.O.) and I will never, ever cast my shadow on that stretch of land again. If San Andreas chooses to drop it off under the blue Pacific I will mourn for the people that weren't able to get out from under their captors, but I will call out a cheer for a job well done. NOW do you want me to tell you how I really feel about that overpopulated ****hole????

And if one crossed from their "territory" to another's, they'd attack and kill you for it.

But by all means, keep your "PC" fictional rewrite of tribal history.

I don't mean to rewrite history but obsidian from Yellowstone found its way a long distance south somehow.
And yes, in particular the Chiricauha Apaches roasted trespassers over a slow fire and left their carcasses in the trail as a warning to others.
