Anyone familier with La Grande Oregan?

I have a potential job offer there and dont know anything about the town, Though it looks like a nice area surrouding it. I know the lewiston clearwater river area in Idaho though

Is it a growing area for people moveing east from portland?

I can't tell you much. The UPRR is big in town, they change crews from Nampa heading to Portland and vs. It sits at the foot of the Blue Mtn and they get a lot of snow in the winter. I have always liked the area when we have driven through on our way to the coast. Pendelton has a great rodeo and it is just over the Blues.
