nopride2It would be interesting to see a museum of this type in the US. The reaction of the anti hunting crowd would be predictable.

Nitro ExpressSome years ago I hunted free-range hill stags from a hunting estate outside Brora, Scotland, way up in the Highlands.
Nearby is Dunrobin Castle, open to the public (for a fee) and there is a museum on the grounds, adjacent to the castle, that by itself is worth the price of admission to the castle. The Sutherland family goes back many years and they were prolific hunters--the museum is filled with taxidermy from all over the world, including of course species no longer open to hunting.
There are also some amazing archeological artifacts that are just as intriguing as the hundreds of mounts--a person could spend hours in the museum and not see everything.
If you are hunting or just vacationing in northern Scotland, Dunrobin Castle should definitely be on your "must see" list.

The August von Spiess ( Hofjagdmeister ) hunting Museum is a must see when you are in the City of Sibiu (Hermannstadt ).
The Museum
http://www.brukenthalmuseum.ro/vanatoare_en/05.htm is quiet small with a lot of Stone Age Taxidermy. The Roe deer Collection is really amazing. One of the highlights is the gun Barrel with Biting Holes from a big Brown Bear.
August from Spiess wrote a Number of hunting books about hunting in Romania and Africa in Romanian and German language and for Book Collectors this are a must have.
