After 3 years of trying, my daughter got her first deer this past Sunday! Having struck out so many time before this, I think its fair to say that we were both a little excited that it finally happened. More importantly, it was a clean double lung kill with minimal tracking.

Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

Its kind of funny you say that, after she shot her buck a huge 8 pointer walked right in front of us. As this was happening she was having a morning snack and I was texting my bother to bring the truck, so we weren't exactly ready to take any kind of shot. I grunted a few times to try and get him to stop but he never did. I thought that my daughter would be bummed that we didn't get 'the big one' but it didnt really bother her, she got her deer.

Congratulations to your daughter, and you as well. Few things in life are as good as sharing days afield with our kids. You’re a fortunate father.

This is wonderful.

You're justifiably proud and delighted now, but this hunt has established a special bond between the two of you, and the memories of your time together will last forever. You will treasure them.

Very cool. Congrats on the whole. That’s a much better trophy for all the obvious reasons than a huge deer killed over a feeder.
