Some information on Niassa Reserve and their great Conservation management work with the inclusion of controlled sport hunting.

Notes from above sight;

"It is recognised that photographic and hunting tourism are the major sources of revenue for the Reserve, where sport hunting has already managed to develop quite significantly, photographic tourism is taking a slower, but increasing pace. Enhancing the opportunities for these activities is critical to improving and increasing the financial capacity for the Reserve’s management as well as maximising the economic benefits for local communities."

OZ - Without any question, Dr. Begg and the Niassa Carnivore Project have set the gold standard, as it pertains to the lion hunting regulations within the Niassa. A standardized program, that I sincerely hope we can convince countries like Zambia/Zimbabwe to implement as well.

Thanks for posting.
