rickt300My sporters
I have too many to list but generally I start with some sort of M98. I have lateley (last 10 years) been using the 24/47 actions for a 22-250, a 7x57 and a 308. I usually get the bolts bent and the actions drilled and tapped for a scope first, using the modified military stocks for a short while till I pick out a aftermarket stock. I have had great luck with Adams and Bennet barrels from midway (especially the stainless ones on sale). I usually get a Bold or Timney trigger pretty soon but I have learned to get a pretty good pull from the original triggers but I really don't care for a lot of creep.

rickt300Well I have never figured out how to post photo's on this forum though I admit to never trying. And my Mausers are generally working rifles with not so pretty stocks, Ramline and Midway specials, and painted metal. A lot of my hunting is in Texas where high humidity, cold rain and even below freezing temperatures are the norm. I guess that why I like these rifles, dead reliable and ugly enough not to worry about. As for pictures I do now have a digital camera I can put pictures on my computer with and all I need is a url to post from (I think).

rickt300I guess I'll have to take some pictures and run a few tests. Thanks.
