start with a railroad tie - the creosote makes for batter grip -== mpi makes a composite version - its twice as ugly and harder to work... the coilCHUNK stock is a grotesquery that is unneeded ... the CZ american stock is far more graceful and handy --- (from a guy that's shot 585 and 550s in the same) #dumptrump opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? This is a rifle I had built in Ed Hubel's 585 HE. The stock is a fiberglass A-Square Coil-Chek made by MPI. As I remember, it was about $900 painted, bedded, with additional recoil lugs added. If you look at the surface area of the butt, you'll see why they work...probably twice the area of a regular stock to spread out recoil forces.

what I am working on is identical to yours, just dropped off at the smith to have barrel drilled and tapped for sights, Always wanted a 577 and this is going to be the only way to get close enough, have any starting reloading data?
