quicky martini stock
I needed a quick butt stock for a martini that I use to test cartridges ( the action has holes drilled on the other side for a side mount scope and a locking screw for interchangeable barrels )so the simplest I could think of was an old SMLE stock. Simply cut about 35mm (1 3/8") off the front and re-shape to suit the martini butt socket....this one is only rough but could be done quite nice....took about an hour....the smaller martini through bolt will fit the slightly larger SMLE bolt hole.

Looks like that will work just fine. You might even easily grow to like it.

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

the sole reason the 303 has a two piece stock is because the War Office had tens of thousands of them in stores when they changed from martini to bolt action 303 so they specified that the butt stock must be the same as the Martini butt

NOTHING more permanent than a temporary fix that serves the purpose.

Actually looks like that was that stocks intended purpose.
