I am looking for load data for Barnes MRX and Triple shock bullets that uses the same powder and primers.I am fairly new to reloading and would greatly appreciate any help.I intend on hunting elk and caribou at ranges of 300 to 400 yards. Thanks

Brian,

My 300 RUM shoots the 168 TSX Match beautifully with 94 grains of RE-25 and 215M primers. That load is perfect for those sort of ranges.........I shot a Hartmanns Zebra last year in excess of 350 yards with a 180TSX out of a 300RUM..........

Drop the load by a couple of grains for the 180's.

For elk, or African PG the 200 is even better I think, my rifle shoots the 200grain Lapua Naturalis with a load of 86 of RE-25 or 94 of N570.

168 TSX: 86.0 to 98.0 Re25, Fed 215 GM primer

180 TSX: 83.0 to 94.5 Re25 same primer,
or Retumbo From 87.0 grains to 100.0 grains

200 Accubond: 89.0 Re25, same primer (my current tack driver load), or 95.0 Retumbo, almost as good.

I could probably drive them a little faster but they are shooting so good now I'm not changing a thing. This load may be mild or too hot depending on your bore or chamber so work up carefully yada yada yada.......

It worked for me on this Elk at 536yds............................DJ
