I have come across a 300 savage that breaks down with a 410 shotgun barrel. Great condition about 40 yrs old. Any Idea what it's worth?

It used to be you could buy them cheap but they quit making them and immediately they became a collectors item. With anything collectable the price may be how much you can get someone to pay for it. I am interested in it. How much are they asking?

Although cartridge selection is important there is nothing that will substitute for proper first shot placement. Good hunting, "D"

Hello:
Are you referring to a 99 rifle @ 300 Savage that has an extra (exchangeable) barrel for .410? This was not uncommon.

Actually you can ( OLD .308 )if your die will allow you to shove .145" of neck length into it. Your case my be a little longer after you fire it.

This really was a test wasn't it??? coffeeroger

A 99 in 300 savage with a 410 barrel?
How does it work? Is the rim of the 410 the same as a 300savage? Will the 410 work in the rotary mag?

Is it a Savage Model 24?
Over and under rifle and 410 barrels?
Or is it two separate barrels, 410 and 300 Savage?
