GhubertIs this open to the international crowd Whitwoth or is it for the good old boys only?
15 June 2010, 06:45
WhitworthNo, we accept European rednecks as well!
Are you heading this way?

GhubertI could be depending on the dates, we host the occasional Louisiana good old boy ourselves on occasion for the European hunts.
I need to get a trip in to see family this year, I thought I might as well get some hunting in!

GhubertWill do.
What dates were you guys thinking of?
I'm in Africa in August so would need as much notice to work around you guys as possible.
I have to confess this travelling shooter malarkay seems great fun.
On small issue, we are not allowed to own handguns here, I can do some practice on the continent but would need to borrow a handgun.
If that isn't possible can I either bring my '06 or a Rigby double?
24 September 2010, 16:44
MS HitmanI think we have enough handguns around we can scrape up one for you to borrow.
If ignorance is bliss; there are some blissful sonofaguns around here. We know who you are, so no reason to point yourselves out.

Thank you gentlemen and my apologies for the tardiness of this reply.
I hope this all still on by the way, I've been itching to hunt a hog with a handgun since an abortive attempt near San Antonio two years ago.
I figure you fine gentlemen might be just a touch more reliable than the keen but hopeless chap who helped me escape from my great-aunt's clutches on that occasion...

Amir, I'm thinking Spring will be the best time to do this. I personally have no time now leading up to the hunting seasons here.

Your tour guide is running around like a blue-arsed fly at the moment, all I managed to get out him was Karelia in May is on for next year.
I think this time you will want to bring your own shotgun?
A spot of driven moose is possible for December, what say ye sir?
It is always a pleasure to meet for dinner but next time you're here take an extra day or two to include a saturday and i'll get you up on the pigeons.
Adam, who you haven't met but is a good mate of mine, has thousands of acres of pigeon shooting but can't stand the bloody sport. Ben is keen as well and we have three sets of kit at the A1. We'll do a bird safari!
I'm serious Kim, make some time!

'tis a shame, I was quite looking forward to some BBQ pork and beers in the wide open places.
And the hunting, of course...
Hope things ease up for you mate.

GhubertGuys I'm just pointing out that this hunt is still a sticky and as such I am within my legal rights to expect y'all to organise a hunt one of these days.
I have very patiently, as Whitworth has pointed out, waited five years so far.
Stickys are legally binding, everyone knows that.

BiebsHogs in Texas? We used to go down every year and stalk them with big-bore revolvers. Fun game.

At this point yes, yes I am...
I need to visit my sister in NY and my uncles in NV and TX this year and so I will be in and out of the US.
If I organise a hunt, will people turn up and can someone lend me a gun as we are only allowed cap and ball revolvers here and there is no way in hell I am flying with BP residue anywhere near my luggage?

I am thinking some hogs in Texas with my uncle's neigbour but posting on this thread is my way of saying hi/ winding up Whitworth every half decade or so...

PeterHey! I'm in! Ghubert, I can provide a gun for you. 44 mag. 45 Colt or 475linebaugh. I'm sure whitworth can arrange a hunt as well.

p dog shooterI would be interested timing and price are considerations.
I think more then one handgun per hunter will be taken. I would bring at least two if not more.
Spot and stalking hogs is a great time a lot more fun then sitting over a feeder.
