What type of holster are you all using for the Big Ten? I'm looking at the Gunfighters INC Kenai chest rig but i'm open to suggestions. I think it would workout well when backpacking or just hiking.
Some of my hip holsters interfere with my pack belt and I end up having to carry with a drop holster or even a thigh holster which I don't care for.

When back packing I carry in a horizontal shoulder holster

Thanks for the reply.

Do you find it difficult to access your pistol/revolver while wearing a pack?

Does the shoulder strap of your pack impede your access at all?

Does the shoulder strap of your pack cause the holster strap to dig into your shoulders and cause any irritation?

Thanks again for the reply.

I have no problems drawing it is a matter of adjusting and fitting. But then I am a fairly thin guy with no gut to reach around.

I use 1.5 inch thin nylon strapping for the harness and make sure the seams are flat I have no hard spots.

So the straps do not dig in.

My friend who is 6'6',carries in a tanker rig on his chest.

It will take some experimenting to get what is right for you

I made a chest holster for mine, then sold the outfit before really using it. It was very comfortable, though, and not hard to make.

I don't own a Glock, but I built a shoulder rig for my S+W 41 Mag. that entails one shoulder, + 1 chest strap (leaves my left shoulder open in case of using a rifle as well.[I'm left handed] ) w/ a knife sheath in the back, a dual pouch of speed loaders + a slot at the top of my chest that holds a mini mag light. A one purpose rig.

Never mistake motion for action.

El Paso Saddlery Tanker 1942 works well with back back or chest waders.

It appears that El Paso doesn't make one for the Glock

Did you talk to them? I have a Tanker for a BFR in 475 Linebaugh. They show a model for 5" to 8 3/8" barrels.

I did not talk with them. I tried their website and there were no options for Glock or other Auto pistols other than 1911s.

The Diamond D looks like a nice looking rig. I may have to order from them. I really like leather over Kydex.
