Does anyone here hunt with a Glock 10mm? (either G20 or G40) If so, tell me about your setup.

I'm contemplating a G20 as a sidearm while hunting (with a rifle), but would also like to do a little hunting with it as well. Thinking about topping it with a Trijicon RMR or Leupold DeltaPoint Pro.

Any real world experience with something similar would be appreciated.

Wade,
I used to hunt with a CZ 10mm - iron sights - headshots on piggies, varmits, and small game - even two deer hunting in deep thickets

an optic might would help, but irons to a goodly distance works just fine

though the 10mm hasn't taken as many heads of game than my 45 colt, but that's all preference

Just as good as any other handgun in that power range.

The one I have used with a dot sight on.

Does the job.

I have a G40 with a Burris Fastfire mounted on it, haven’t shot anything but one pig and one very close range coyote, but it worked very well. 180 gr JHP hand loads.

I have a Glock 20. Replaced sights with this

Was going to have the slide cut for a trijicon rmr but decided if I really need a red dot I will buy a Glock 40.

Will use it as a follow up gun.

That is my setup. Use Sig Sauer 180 grain which are extremely accurate.

Have a Block 21 with 9" barrel and different springs/ guide rod to handle 45 super. Using Buffalo Bore right now. When They are about gone I will try the Underwood. Just need to get in front of feral pigs, feral dogs, or whitetails. I keep having to NOT type federal pigs when I am writing. I guess the current political climate would be the cause of that here in the state of Misery. Be Well, Packy.
